The library has free craft, colouring-in, board games, our Xbox Kinect, and robo-cats, available every day of the winter school holidays (Monday July 6th - Friday July 17th), in our Level 0 Children's Area.
There's also a range of special programs and activities, at the library and around Wagga's LGA. These are usually FREE, but please note that children under 16 need a responsible parent/guardian to stay for the duration of the event.

Get ready to squish, roll, and mold! Join us for a playful session where kids can create their own colorful playdough from scratch. This fun and creative activity encourages sensory play and imagination, perfect for little hands and curious minds. All materials provided. Just bring your enthusiasm!

Join Saffron, E.B White-Bear, and Dan Brown-Bear for a delightful Teddy Bear Picnic filled with stories, songs, and craft. Bring along your favourite teddy to join the adventure!
Pack your picnic snacks and drinks, and feel free to bring a small picnic rug.
Please book one ticket per family (maximum 6 people).
A parent or guardian must stay and join in the fun for the duration of the event.

Join Brick Envy in Uranquinty to learn some pro-level Lego tips!
We are holding a Lego workshop with one of Wagga's leading Lego experts, Renee from Brick Envy (more info on Brick Envy here). Renee will spark your inspiration, give helpful guidance, and help you create the build you have always imagined!
This event is open to all ages but is ideally suited for ages 7 to 12 years.

Friday July 10 & July 17

Join us at the library for a Friday family-friendly film! No need to book, just pop in, get comfy and enjoy.
Screening begins at 10:30am in our Level 0 Children's Area, and each film runs approx. 90 mins.

Get cosy these winter school holidays and create a cuddly friend to call your own! In this warm and creative workshop, children will receive a soft calico teddy bear ready to be brought to life with colourful fabric markers.
Wrap up, get comfy, and let imaginations run wild as kids decorate their bear and give it a unique personality to match. Best of all, each child will take home their very own teddy to snuggle!
All materials provided. Suitable for primary school-aged children.

Ever wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? Come and pick up the basics with the Knittin' Group! The Knittin' Group is full of experenced crafters who knit and crochet throughout the year for charity. You can also make and learn how to use your own french knitting loom!
Knitting supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own knitting project if you have one!
A responsible parent/guardian must remain for the duration of the event.

At this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to sort, clean, and prepare plastic lids (types 2, 4 and 5) for recycling — then use specialised recycling equipment to melt them into something cool and useful to take home.
Great for creative thinkers, sustainability champs, and anyone who wants to make a difference for the planet.
Note: Participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
