School Holidays with Wagga Library

The library has free craft, colouring-in, board games, our Xbox Kinect, and robo-cats, available every day of the winter school holidays (Monday September 28 - Friday October 9), in our Level 0 Children's Area.

There's also a range of special programs and activities, at the library and around Wagga's LGA. These are usually FREE, but please note that children under 16 need a responsible parent/guardian to stay for the duration of the event.

Sunshine Storytime at Gobbagombalin Park

Storytime at the Gobbagombalin Park is everything you already love about Storytime, but in the beautiful Gobbagombalin Park!

There'll be picture books, songs, and craft. Stick around afterwards and use the Agile Library van, which lets you browse, borrow, return, and make reservations, just like the regular library branch.

No bookings required. Find us near the Gobbagombalin Park Playground.

Paint Your Own Garden Gnome

Children will decorate their very own ceramic gnome using bright paints and creative designs. Whether it's a classic garden gnome, a rainbow gnome, or a magical fantasy character, every creation will be unique.

All materials are provided, and children will take their finished gnome home to display and enjoy.

Suitable for primary school-aged children.

All Ages Bingo

Birdwatching Walks

Discover the birds of Wollundry Lagoon on a family-friendly bird watching walk!

Meet in the Children's Area at Wagga Wagga City Library, where guided walks will depart at intervals between 10am and 12 noon. Learn how to spot and identify local birdlife while enjoying the outdoors.

No bookings required. Comfortable walking shoes, hats and water bottles are recommended.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer for the duration of the activity.

Ashmont Suncatchers

Family Movie Friday

Agile library stops in Uranquinty, Collingullie and Humula

As part of our Agile service visits to the villages in Wagga's LGA, we're delivering FREE craft kits during the school holidays, for enthusiasts of any age. Drop by the Agile Library van to pick up a craft kit to take home and enjoy!

While you're collecting your craft kit, be sure to browse the variety of available books and graphic novels. Use your library card to borrow, or join if you're not already a member.
