For over thirty years, the Friends of the Library (FOTL) volunteers have acted as a link between the library and the community. FOTL is a member of Friends of Libraries Australia (FOLA).
As the library commences an expansion of services across the city and villages, FOTL invites new members to share their expertise and knowledge from a range of diverse backgrounds.
It would be wonderful to have younger adult members, parents of young children, people from culturally and linguistically diverse groups, and people from different accessibility backgrounds, to participate in FOTL projects. These include supporting author talks, One Book One Wagga, the Language Café, Technology classes, Science Festivals, and exciting programs for every age group.
FOTL membership is fun, and great way to find out what’s happening in the library behind the scenes. The annual membership fee is $10 for individuals, and $15 for families. Members meet every second Tuesday of the month.
You can pay for membership (CASH only) at the library counter, or by bank transfer (details on the FOTL membership form).
You'll also need to fill in Council's Application for Volunteers form.
