Winter School Holidays with Wagga Library

The library has free craft, colouring-in, board games, our Xbox Kinect, and robo-cats, available every day of the winter school holidays (Sat July 5 - Sun July 20), in our Level 0 Children's Area.

There's also a range of special programs and activities, at the library and around Wagga's LGA. Many of these are FREE, but please note that children under 16 need a responsible parent/guardian to stay for the duration of the event.

Visit Wagga City Library or one of our Agile Library stops and collect a Winter Reading Challenge card to get started.

Earn a Winter Reading Challenge badge with your first 3 books in a row! Read 9 books and win a hot chocolate sachet PLUS go in the draw to win our Winter Reading Challenge prize! Keep a list of all your Winter reading on the back of the card.

Completed cards must be returned to the library by 4pm Sunday 20th July.

Botanic Gardens Sunshine Storytime

Teddy Bear Picnic

Join Saffron, E.B White-Bear, and Dan Brown-Bear for a Teddy Bear Picnic in the Library! There'll be bear stories, songs and craft.

Bring your teddy, picnic snacks and drinks, and a small picnic rug (optional).

Family Movie Friday

Sunshine Storytime @ Riverside

There'll be picture books, songs, and craft. Stick around afterwards and use the Agile Library van, which lets you browse, borrow, return, and make reservations, just like the regular library branch.

Learn Knittin'

Ever wanted to learn how to knit or crochet? Come and pick up the basics with the Knittin' Group! The Knittin' Group is full of experenced crafters who knit and crochet throughout the year for charity. You can also make and learn how to use your own french knitting loom!

Knitting supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own knitting project if you have one!

A responsible parent/guardian must remain for the duration of the event. Ideal for ages 8+
