On the evening of Tuesday, April 21st, around forty enthusiastic Trent Dalton fans gathered at Wagga library to see and hear him live, in conversation with BorrowBox's content expert Natasha Boyd.
Naturally, at first, Trent told stories of his beginnings as a journalist, and shared some of the inspiration for his bestselling debut novel Boy Swallows Universe. Later, the conversation ranged over a wide variety of topics, and Natasha had plenty of questions to ask about Trent's new novel, Gravity Let Me Go.
The worldwide audience for BorrowBox's livestream included viewers in New Zealand, Hobart, and Trent's hometown of Brisbane. Participants were invited to submit their questions for Trent to answer, and the Wagga crowd were delighted to be given a shout-out by Natasha halfway through the evening.
The library has further livestreamed events planned for the year, including one on Wednesday June 3rd, with acclaimed Irish novelist Colm Tóibín.
