On Friday August 22nd, author Adam Walter launched his terrific collection of knock-knock jokes and puns, Cocka Who?, in front of a crowd of enthusiastic pre-schoolers.
The book, inspired by bedtime stories Adam made up for his daughter when she was a three-year-old, proved to be the perfect way to bring Book Week to a close this year.
Dozens of children had already come to the library's regular Storytime sessions, dressed as everything from superheroes to unicorns. Adam brought their morning to a rousing close with props, puppets and agonising puns, showing the many ways that books can leap from the page to become unforgettable experiences.
