The library's Autumn school holiday program included everything from art workshops and a family movie to bingo and a visiting magician.
From April 11-26, the children's area of the library provided craft, colouring-in, and our ever-popular and reliable XBox Kinect. Artist Elaine Camlin ran a workshop inspired by Hayden Fowler's Turtle Island installation the Wollundry Lagoon. The Great Dane demonstrated his magic skills, and taught kids how to do some tricks themselves, in two workshops at Humula and Ladysmith. Mangoplah became the latest village in the Wagga LGA to enjoy a morning of free bingo. A special session of Storytime took place in the beautiful surroundings of the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens, and the library hosted two booked-out architecture workshops for kids, hosted by Louise O’Brien (Architecture for Kids School, Sydney) and Gioia Gianniotis (GPG Architecture, Wagga Wagga).
If you're keen to know what's coming up in the next school holidays, your best bet is to subscribe to the library's newsletter, follow us on Facebook, or keep an eye on our What's On page. Be sure to book for any events with limited numbers!
