The library will be closed on Monday 9 June for the King's Birthday public holiday.
On Thursday May 8th, the library had the pleasure of hosting author Leesa Ronald, in conversation with the library's own Beth Harrison, for the launch of Leesa's first novel, Special Delivery.
Leesa was candid about her experiences as a mother, and told the assembled crowd how her willingness to depict all the emotions brought on by parenting - welcome and unwelcome - informed her romcom story of enemies-to-lovers Poppy and James.
As well as learning about Leesa's writing process, the audience picked up some inside tricks of the publishing industry, and heard about the importance of really good verbs when writing an effective, shall we say, bedroom scene.
The library has several copies of Special Delivery available to reserve here, and there is also a Book Club kit.
