The Unexpected Mess of It All

Author Gabrielle Tozer paid us the great compliment of choosing Wagga Library as the venue to launch her new novel The Unexpected Mess of It All, on the afternoon of Saturday May 11th.

Guests enjoyed a choice of nibbles and beverages (including champagne), and heard Gabbie in conversation with The Curious Rabbit's Vickie Burkinshaw. The conversation ranged from the challenges of working remotely in regional NSW, as opposed to the challenges of a metropolitan centre, and the differences between writing YA fiction and fiction targeted at adults in general.

There was also much discussion of how to maintain a novelist's writing discipline while caring for one's family, and the most probing audience question came from one of Gabbie's own children: "What's for dinner?"

Collins Booksellers attended, and were kept busy afterwards selling copies of The Unexpected Mess of It All for the author to sign.

You can explore Gabrielle Tozer's many and varied titles here, and reserve any of them using your library card membership number and date-of-birth PIN.
