Standalone Library Service

As previously advised, Wagga Wagga City Library will commence as a stand-alone Library service from 1 July 2022, offering a broader and more accessible range of programs and resources to our entire community. Customers using the physical library space will experience no change to the excellent and friendly service you have come to expect.  Your existing RRL card will keep working for physical books until you exchange it for the new Wagga Wagga City Library card.

From 21 June your RRL card will not work for eBooks and eAudio books.  We will provide you with a brand-new Wagga Wagga City Library card that will allow you to do this.  You can collect your new card in person, or organise it over the phone, and there is no fee involved. Once this simple process has been completed you will again have access to your favourite eBooks, eAudio Books, and eMagazines.

Please note the following advice.

  1. On 21 June you will need to log out of BorrowBox and back in to access the new service with your new Wagga Wagga City Library card. Please choose Wagga Wagga City Library as your library selection.
  2. You will need to re-reserve items that you are waiting for after 21 June. We will purchase additional copies of popular items to assist wait times for Wagga customers.

We appreciate your patience during this process; library staff will be on hand to assist you every step of the way.

Item Reservations: From 21 June, reservations will be back to normal, without the $1 fee!

New Cards: All members will be issued with a new card after June 21, and a staff member will be available to help you to use your new card details to log into library apps and services.

Reciprocal Memberships: RRL members who live in other local government areas surrounding Wagga Wagga will be able to become a Reciprocal Member of the new WWCL service, by presenting their RRL card at the front desk. This means that some people will have two library cards, for both RRL and WWCL. As a Reciprocal Library Member, a person can borrow 4 items at a time from WWCL and the library is open 7 days a week, except for public holidays. Physical loans of library items can be extended online or by ringing the library on 02 6926 9700.

Agile Library Service:

The Wagga Wagga City Library Agile Library Service brings the library to you! Our Agile Vans will be visiting various locations across the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area from July 1, 2022. You can pick up reservations, borrow books, DVDs, magazines and more, or speak to a library staff member about library services and information requests. There will also be opportunities to attend Storytime and other library programs in your neighbourhood.

If you are a childcare service, school, or community group and would like to discuss a partnership opportunity with the Agile Library Service, please contact the library.

Collections: If you notice something missing from our collection that you would like to borrow, just ask one of our staff about our Purchase Request process, and we will do our best to get you exactly what you are looking for.
